About

Karina Bryant Stanger loves capturing important moments and places. She grew up in the Arizona desert, loving the superior sunsets and purple mountains. She has also lived in the tropics of Florida, the sweeping plains of Southeast Colorado, and most recently, the wooded forests of Northwest Montana. She thanks God that she and family (husband and five children) have lived in such beautiful locations, rich in friends, memories, and inspiration.

Karina received a Bachelor of Fine Arts/Illustration from the University of Arizona. Her experience includes working in marketing, as a freelance designer and painter, and as a teacher for elementary, high school and community college students.

Her favorite subjects to paint are people, although she constantly finds inspiration from nature and life experiences. She has many ideas in her head of future projects, but is only able to fulfill a portion of these. As a busy mother with numerous hobbies, she is still learning how to juggle her dreams and responsibilities.

Artist Statement

Art is to be seen, but can it be heard, too?
All artists have a voice:
Sometimes loud,
Sometimes subtle,
Sometimes overwhelming,
Sometimes shocking.

What is my voice?
It is singing
About my love of
Light, Life, Nature, Family
– the simple things –
so often forgotten
in a busy violent world
that disregards
the beauty of the simple things.

My artistic vision is evolving
as my life evolves
I desire to Educate
Inspire
Serve
And remind others of life’s simple beauties
And God’s amazing creations.

As an artist, I love acrylics, pencils, computers, and fabric.
I hope my children
become my greatest works of art.

My heart longs to make a difference
a lasting impression
a lyrical legacy
That would be simply beautiful.
